Smart second graders, this time on the way to improve their English language skills, enthusiastically read a summary of parts of the enduring story "The Shoemaker and the Elves". This targeted exercise was done in the framework of the Family & Friends 2 program in order to improve reading comprehension skills, increase vocabulary and speaking ability in the best way. 📚💖

The second grade of Sadra Primary School, which is located in District 5 of Tehran, is an environment where we see the flourishing of the talents of our little language learners every day. 🌈 In this space, the English language is introduced not as a dry lesson, but as a window to new stories and cultures. The energy and enthusiasm of the children is the main pillar of this dynamic class.

The subject of today's activity was to immerse in the world of the story of the poor shoemaker and magical dwarfs. 🧚‍♂️ This story is full of moral lessons about kindness and helping others and provides a rich platform for learning new vocabulary and sentence structures in English.

The respected class teacher first narrated the key parts of the story to the children using pictures and an attractive tone. 🗣️ This method helped strengthen students' listening skills and prepared them for the main exercise: converting long text into short and effective summaries.

Then, the students sat together in small groups and tried to summarize for each other the parts they heard and read in their own simple English. 🤝 This interaction eliminated the fear of speaking and increased their confidence to use the language practically.

It was an exciting moment! 😄 The sound of laughter and serious efforts to choose the right words showed the children's complete engagement with the activity. They learned how to analyze a text and extract its main message, a skill that is essential in their academic career.

Our main goal goes beyond memorizing words; We seek to foster deep understanding and critical thinking. 🧠 By summarizing, students learn how to organize information and express themselves effectively in both Persian and English.

At Sadra District 5 Elementary School, we believe that combining art and storytelling with language learning is the best way to develop a love for learning. 🌟 These activities not only strengthen children's language knowledge, but also social skills and teamwork.

This fruitful day proved once again that with innovative and creative teaching methods, every lesson can be turned into an enjoyable adventure. We are very proud of the remarkable progress of our children.
